I have been a member of the Kenai Schutzhund Club since 6/01. Before that we trained on our own via books and videos since there was not a club available in our area. We were excited when we learned that we were going to be moving into the area were the Kenai Schutzhund Club resides, so that we could benefit from club member support. I have grown up with there always being a German Shepherd in the home but it took the purchase of a GSD pup to get my boyfriend hooked. Now we are a home of three GSD's of our own. The Kenai Schutzhund Club has enriched us with the camaraderie which you can only gain with being a club member, and the wealth of knowlege of the more expirienced members. I have high hopes for this next year. I have a female GSD Isis vom Leerburg who I hope to title this year and I have a new Czech/West German sable female that is showing great promise. I enjoy the sport of Schutzhund and we include our whole family in the sport. I am hoping that our daughter will join the club this next year.
