I have been a member of the Kenai Schuthund Club since 6/01. I have to admit, I owe my membership and interest to my beautiful girlfriend. I had always wanted to be a K9 officer. Not only am I a K9 officer now, I am also a member of the Kenai Schutzhund Club with my handsome black Czech GSD. Since becoming a member of the Kenai Schutzhund Club, I have began learning helper work. This experience has also helped me with agitation work with our K9's. Before moving here we had to rely on the training literature that we purchased to train our first GSD. Luckily, we now have the support of the Kenai Schutzhund Club, so training is more balanced. I will not be trialing a dog this year because my GSD isn't old enough but by next I will look forward to being an active participant in the trials.
